In fact, worse than worthless, because once you’ve accumulated a certain amount of stuff, it starts to own you rather than the other way around.

This became rather obvious to me over the past few days, as we brought all our stuff back home from storage.

And the fact that we have apartment-sized buildings to hold all our extra stuff says a lot about our culture as well.
